Citrus Club is one of a kind right in the heart of Downtown Charleston. Having a 360ª view of the city on the rooftop of The Dewberry, you can find comfortable seating, delicious shared plates and hand crafted, STRONG cocktails. Need I say more? I had seen tagged photos of this magical place all over Instagram, but never got around to actually seeing it for myself. A couple of friends of mine planned to meet after work on a Friday afternoon here and ended up staying for hours laughing, drinking and thoroughly indulging in the fact that we lived in this beautiful city. It's hard not to feel #blessed when you're at Citrus Club!

The Lowcountry is known for biscuits; homemade, fluffy, and topped with anything you can imagine. Vicious Biscuit came onto the scene in Mount Pleasant, SC and blew my damn flip flops off. They've got lots of different options that'll make your mouth water but make sure you wear your yoga pants or a belt you can loosen after leaving here! There's always a line out the door to order, but it's worth the wait. Tim and I always get an iced coffee and some Sweet Potato Hushpuppies to tide us over while we wait for the main event. This is a MUST stop while you're in town!

On King Street, Millers All Day is the perfect stop before or after you spend your day shopping and sight seeing on the Peninsula. With a cute, vintage aesthetic, you immediately feel like you're in a different era when stepping into this eatery. An elevated retro diner vibe takes you back to the 1960's while your taste buds go wild with their cuisine. The Cinnamon Buns here and Breakfast Sandwiches are staples, but of course everything else they offer here really hits the spot. I'm a sucker for a good vibe, and Millers All Day has exactly that + good eats. Don't ever tempt me with an all around satisfying time!

This cute little cottage turned coffee shop is located right along Shem Creek on Simmons Street. Open 7 days a week from 7am-4pm, this is the perfect place to get some work done or meet up with friends while enjoying a bold latté. House-made flavor syrups are a great addition to any coffee drink, and they offer a wide variety of menu selections including different Acai bowl combinations, Avocado Toast, fresh waffles, a Chicken Pesto Wrap, a Turkey BLT and fresh salads made from locally sourced ingredients. With free wifi and an outdoor play area for kids, this café has it all!

This hidden gem is located on King Street in the heart of Downtown Charleston. A romantic vibe brings a sense of elegance and warmth while you stop in for a handcrafted cocktail with only the finest of spirits. My go-to is the Bartender's Choice, where you choose 2 adjectives to describe what you're looking for in your elixir. They're never the same, and always taste delicious while giving you a swift kick in the throat. Does that sound weird? Trust me, it's a good feeling here. ;) Light snacking options are available as well, but you'll mostly be here for the alcohol.

Overlooking some of Downtown Charleston, The Watch Rooftop Bar & Spirits is located above the Restoration Hotel on Wentworth Street. I used to work at the College of Charleston which is steps away from here, so this was always an after-work necessity. Although you don't have a 360ª view of the city, you still are able to dine with a view of the Ravenel Bridge in the background and many church steeples. A comfy outdoor atmosphere as well as seating inside gives you the option to escape the Summer heat or enjoy a light breeze. It's hard to be disappointed here!

Daps Breakfast & Imbibe is located on the West side of Charleston. Nestled in the heart of the neighborhood, this unique spot offers fresh, mouth watering breakfast staples and cocktails that pack a punch. Every time I've come here, I have to take it down a notch because I find myself making excitable noises with every bite and sip and I'm pretty sure that's weird...? But it's a good weird. Quality ingredients, friendly staff, local coffee and a chill vibe, Daps is worth the trip and satisfies every craving.

I am not afraid to admit that I'm that basic b*tch and love a GOOD Avo Toast. Whenever a spot has it, I gotta try it. Although I've tried a lot of what's on their menu, their Avocado Toast has my heart. Everything here is made like a work of art and their coffee is exclusively their own. While standing in line in their Mount Pleasant location, you can purchase some expertly potted house plants provided by local plant shop, Haegur. If you notice a trend here, your girl loves her breakfast and brunch spots and this place is definitely on the list.

Honestly, this picture doesn't even do the food any justice. Barsa is located on Upper King Street serving up Spanish-inspired tapas styled plates. Whenever possible, locally sourced ingredients are an inspiration within every dish with a Southern twist. Although their food is bomb, their Happy Hour is what draws in me on Friday afternoons. Their discounts on craft beers, cocktails and Paella makes me both physically and emotionally happy. You have to have Barsa on your list of stops whenever you're in Charleston.

Hands down the best pizza in Charleston. Being from New York, a good pizza in the Lowcountry is really hard to come by. Coastal Crust's homemade Neapolitan-styled pizzas are baked in a wood-fired oven and topped with homemade ingredients. Walk up to the window and order your za or step inside the Pizza Bar and sit at the bar while enjoying a local beer or 2 while you wait. Other Italian-inspired dishes are offered as well as Italian ice and jumbo Ice Cream Sandwiches. Also offering a unique catering experience from their restored vintage trucks, Coastal Crust can come to you for any private party or Wedding!

This cute shop on Daniel Island offers pastries, breakfast selections and really good coffee. Not having explored Daniel Island much since we've moved here, we were in search for a really good bagel. Again, this isn't something you can easily find within Lowcountry being from New York. Blondie's Bagels & Cafe does a pretty good job of satisfying our bagel cravings! A classic Bacon, Egg & Cheese does the trick with of course a large iced coffee and a cinnamon bun as an app. Are you seeing a trend here with my brunch habits?

Located right on the water on Shem Creek, this new kid in town is always packed, but you never really wait long. Any amount you do wait, is worth it. Local Seafood and BBQ dishes make your mouth water and the drinks are always flowing. Live music, a beachy vibe, dog friendly and always a Dolphin show in the water, you will definitely find something you love here. Speaking of love, if you don't order or want to try their Trash Can Nachos, you can't sit with us. I'm being serious.

Locally sourced award winning fried Chicken sandwiches. What else do I need to say? The South is known for fried Chicken, so it's hard to find the BEST when you've got so many contenders. Boxcar Betty's is right down the street from us, but they have multiple locations. So where ever you are, it's your lucky day when you get your hands on one of these. Fresh Sweet Tea, crispy Fries and Floats make this a classic spot if you're in the mood for savory indulgence.
